Ashlyn and George’s Bear Creek wedding was our first wedding of the 2020 season and it was an absolute stunner! Ashlyn and George met about 6.5 years ago at the gym and from that time on, they’ve been inseparable. Following their beach proposal last year, they began planning their 2020 Bear Creek Resort wedding. As their wedding approached, it became clear that their original plans were going to be impacted by COVID-19 mandates.
After postponing their original June wedding, George and Ashlyn decided to simply pare things down to a smaller, more intimate wedding with their immediate families. Next year, they’ll be returning to Bear Creek Resort to celebrate their marriage with a larger group of friends and family. Their patience, resilience and fortitude during these times will certainly serve them well as they begin the next chapter as husband and wife!
My associate team took over covering their Bear Creek Resort wedding on my behalf and did an excellent job serving them to the high standards expected for our incredible couples.
Ashlyn and George began the day preparing for their wedding in their respective rooms at Bear Creek Resort. Ashlyn did such a beautiful job selecting the florals and details of the day to tie in her dusty rose and gold color palette. After getting dressed, they each read letters from one another before heading down for their First Look!
The First Look is such a special time for many couples. It’s a quiet moment set aside for just the two of them to see one another pre-ceremony. My team selected a private location where Ashlyn and George could spend a few moments together before beginning their formal portraits.
The pathways around Bear Creek Resort, flanked by the summer foliage made a perfect backdrop for Ashlyn & George’s pre-ceremony portraits. Soon after, their bridal party was invited in to join them for more formal portraits. As bridal party portraits began, a slight drizzle rolled through. Everyone took it in stride and kept the amazing energy alive for their photographs–what a fun group!
Ashlyn was escorted down the aisle by her dad and stepfather where they jointly gave her away. Their ceremony was intimate and beautiful, surrounded by their closest family and friends who witnessed Ashlyn and George begin the next chapter of their lives together as husband and wife.
Following their ceremony, Ashlyn and George stole away for a few quick newlywed portraits before heading to the Hamilton Kitchen & Bar in Allentown for private dinner with their guests.
Ashlyn and George, thank you for trusting us to capture your beautiful day. I am SO looking forward to celebrating with you again in 2021! (A special shout out to my team, Emily and Jeannie, for serving them so beautifully and documenting these moments.)
