Kayla and Ryan’s Peddler’s Village engagement session was exactly what my heart needed after such a long quarantine-induced break. As a Bucks County wedding photographer, I’m usually into full-swing wedding mode by mid-June, but 2020 had other plans for us. The reopening of Pennsylvania has been a slow and strained process. Thankfully, last week’s move into “yellow phase” allowed us to resume engagement sessions and small weddings!
Ryan and Kayla met five and a half years ago while in college at the University of Connecticut and are planning a 2021 Bucks County wedding at Normandy Farm. Kayla requested Peddler’s Village as the backdrop for their engagement portraits and I am so glad they did! Peddler’s Village is a charming Bucks County landmark with its colonial-style buildings, winding brick walkways, boutique shops and beautiful gardens. Their pup, Rayne, even tagged along for the Peddler’s Village engagement session and enjoyed her few moments in the spotlight with Kayla and Ryan.
We began their session in the gardens and worked our way throughout the property, weaving our way through the shops and pathways. I absolutely adore having this time with my couples! Not only do I enjoy documenting this special season of engagement for them, but during the engagement session is also the best way for us to get to know one another and get them prepared for the big day.
I am so thankful to be back to doing what I love and serving such fantastic couples on the journey to their wedding day. I cannot wait for Kayla and Ryan’s Normandy Farm wedding next year!
