Trusting Your Wedding Photographer | Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer

Wedding Planning

Trust is the key ingredient to any relationship and this is true for the relationship you have with your wedding photographer. There’s a reason you chose them to capture the most important day of your life!

Trusting your photographer in these five main areas will in better images for you to remember your big day by:

Choosing Portrait Locations

On a wedding day, our team will take the time to familiarize ourselves with your venue to find the best locations for your formal portraits. (This does NOT mean we need to have photographed your wedding venue previously to accomplish this!  I can find beautiful light in a matter of minutes, friends!).

We’ll find which locations get the ideal light which will yield the best results for your portraits.  Trust our knowledge, skill and creative vision!

(Would you believe the image below was taken in a parking lot!?  Yes, it’s true!  There’s a line of parked cars behind those bushes.  Amanda and Mike trusted our vision and the gorgeous result speaks for itself!)

Time of Day to Shoot

Lighting is key to creating beautiful images. Using the natural light of the sun will produce the best lighting scenario, but that doesn’t mean any time of the day will give you the same results!   Trust your photographer’s recommendation when it comes to selecting your ceremony time as this often dictates your scheduled portrait times on the wedding day!

Poses

Trust your photographer to know what pose is the most flattering for you! Your engagement session is a time I get to study you both and determine which poses work best for you as a couple, which helps me prepare for the wedding day!

On most wedding days, we’ll be working with limited time and light.  Because of this, you’ll need to trust your photographer to efficiently pose you using our own tried and true workflows.

Editing Your Photos

Trust your photographer’s creative eye during the editing process.  We know which images will look best in black and white, color and how to creatively crop.

The editing process is a part of our signature style and this is one of the reasons you hired us! Trust us to use our skills to make each image stunning.  (Plus, applying your own edits/crops or filters is a huge “no no” and is a violation of copyright!)

Printing Your Images

Your photographer knows where to get prints made and likely has a long-term relationship with a reputable, professional printing company. The worst thing you can do is have a stunning image, order a large print and find the colors are off, the image is blurred or it simply looks dull.   Consumer labs like Walmart, Target,  Costco, Shutterfly, etc., are not professional labs and will not yield professional results.

Knowing where to get your prints made, what size they should be done in and which ones will look best in your albums, wall art or thank you cards is part of the service you receive when you hired a professional wedding photographer. Trust them and listen to what they think will look best for what you want!
