Crystal Tea Room Wedding | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Wedding

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of joining the team of Grace & Ardor Co. as an associate shooter for Molly and Ainsley’s classic Philadelphia wedding at the Crystal Tea Room.  I just adore Philadelphia, so I was thrilled when I was asked to come along for the day!

I grew up in Voorhees, New Jersey, which is just a short commute from Philadelphia.  Because we lived so close to the city, I spent a lot of time there while growing up.  Now, going back feels like a homecoming in some ways!

The Morning

The day began with Ainsley and Molly getting ready at the Warwick Hotel.  There was so much excitement in the room as the bridesmaids prepared during the morning!  The groomsmen relaxed with a game of poker while Ainsley got dressed prior to the First Look.

First Look & Portraits

Ainsley and I took an Uber to Race Street Pier where we awaited Molly’s arrival for their First Look.  It was such a smart choice for their timeline since the early November sunset is so early in the day!  It ensured we caught the best light of the day for their bride/groom and bridal party portraits.  (Check out all the reasons why I love the First Look here!).

Crystal Tea Room

Ainsley and Molly hosted their beautiful ceremony and reception in the Crystal Tea Room.  The Crystal Tea Room is a gorgeous space on the 9th floor of the Wannamaker Building in Center City Philadelphia.  It was opened in 1911 and at one time was known as the one of largest dining rooms in the world!

It was so obvious throughout the night how in love the two of them are.  They wrote their own vows which touched on every emotion from serious to silly.  It was such a blessing to be able to witness all of the joy of their beautiful day.
