Kira and Cole’s intimate, Kennett Square wedding was an absolute dream!

Cole and Kira have been engaged for some time, but for one reason or another, their wedding day plans kept getting postponed.  After realizing that the family would soon all be gathered together for the Thanksgiving holiday, Kira and Cole decided now was the best time to tie the knot!

Kira reached out to me early this month regarding their Thanksgiving holiday weekend wedding; I cannot say how impressed I am that they were able to pull together such a gorgeous wedding in less than 30 days!

Getting Ready

Kira and Cole (and their sweet son, Will) all got ready at Cole’s parents’ classic estate home in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  Every little detail was perfectly charming.  Kira wore a necklace that has been worn for generations by the women in her family on their wedding day.  What a beautiful tradition to uphold and such a special keepsake to pass down!

First Look & Portraits

As the day went on, the clouds rolled in, but neither Kira nor Cole let the weather spoil their day!  We staged their First Look outside the front entrance of the home to allow the architecture of the home to serve as a unique backdrop.  (Just wait until you see Cole’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride!).

We made our way around the Kennett Square property, visiting little nooks outside the home and alongside the ivy covered barn.  We even had a pair of swans come pay us a visit during portrait time!

It was absolutely frigid–Kira was such a trooper braving the cold for some beautiful portraits of the two of them on their wedding day!

Ceremony

Kira and Cole’s wedding ceremony was hosted in a clear, heated tent on the grounds of their Kennett Square property.  Everyone knows how much I love dogs (especially Golden Retrievers), so you can imagine how happy I was to see their pups also in attendance!

Kira was brought to the ceremony site by horse-drawn carriage and was escorted down the aisle by her family.  Their ceremony was truly personalized, with a special moment which included their son, Will, as ring bearer.  The newlyweds were showered with rice as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife!

Portraits, Toasts, & Cake

Following the ceremony, we headed indoors just as the sun began to slip down.  We captured family portraits inside the formal living room while guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and live music.  The reception took place in a tented area on a two-tiered terrace in the rear of the home.  Kira and Cole made their grand entrance into the reception and were greeted with cheers and wonderful toasts from their family.

Kira and Cole,  congratulations on your wedding!  It was a true honor celebrating with you and I am so thankful to have been able to serve you on your most special day!  I wish you both many blessings for a beautiful and joyful marriage.
