Carly and Chris’s Trexler Nature Preserve engagement session could not have come on a more beautiful day! After almost a solid week of pouring rain and flash floods, we ended up having to reschedule their first engagement session date. However, our patience was rewarded because were gifted with the most incredible sun-soaked evening for their Trexler Nature Preserve engagement session!
When we were chatting about possible Lehigh Valley engagement session locations, Carly mentioned how much she just loved the engagement session at Trexler Nature Preserve I had photographed earlier this summer. Being upstate New York natives, the country vibes totally resonated with them.
One of my favorite parts of their love story is that they’ve been high school sweethearts since 11th grade. The proposal was a complete surprise! Chris proposed at the Wormsloe Historic Site in Savannah, Georgia last July. He knew this would be a special moment and even planned to have a hidden photographer to capture the moment! Isn’t that just the sweetest?
Upon arriving to our session location, I was immediately greeted by two friendly smiles and one giant bear hug. I knew at that moment, Chris and Carly were my people. We had the best time exploring the nature preserve; making our way through the cut pathways and enjoying the surrounding views.
I just love how laid back they are and how they fully trusted me to guide them through their portrait session! If Carly and Chris’s Stroudsmoor Country Inn wedding is anything like their engagement session, I know it is going to be incredible!
I hope you enjoy taking a peek at some of my favorites from their Lehigh Valley engagement session!
