Rachel and Jim’s engagement session was one of those sessions that is just so effortlessly amazing. They are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with and they’re just so easy to be around!
When Rachel and Jim mentioned that they would like a natural setting for their engagement portraits, I knew I had to take them to Trexler Nature Preserve. The wide open spaces, tall grasses, and views added so much romance to an already magical session. Rachel and Jim have this sweet way to making one another laugh and I just loved capturing their authentic connection and sweet way with one another. They were so natural and so much fun that I am even more excited for their wedding next May at French Creek Golf Club!
Their sweet German Shepherd puppy, Luna, came along, too, to participate in her mommy & daddy’s engagement session. It was such a joy to watch Luna bounce around and get into puppy mischief! I just love her big puppy paws and her oversized ears that she’ll soon grow into—she’s just the sweetest! Because they decided to bring Luna, Rachel’s mom also came along to help with the puppy while we were shooting. It was such an added bonus to get to meet the Mother-of-the-bride prior to the big day!
As soon as Rachel and Jim arrived, I knew the session was going to be amazing. Their outfits were just perfect (just wait until you see the two beautiful dresses she chose!) and the weather was just delicious. We took our time exploring the rolling hills of the nature preserve to find the most beautiful light. As we were wrapping up our session, we were gifted with the most amazing sunset ever! We sat in the grass together and watch the sky turn to the most amazing shades of pink, purple, and orange. It was the most perfect end to the most incredible engagement session.
Enjoy getting to know these two as you scroll through some of my favorite images from their engagement session!
