A Traditional Wedding at Historic Hotel Bethlehem | Jonna & Dominic | Hotel Bethlehem Wedding | Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer

Wedding

Jonna and Dom got married this past weekend at Central Moravian Church in Historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was such a joyful and beautiful autumn wedding. We were quite surprised to have a covering of snow on the ground for their big day!

Jonna and Dom got ready at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem with their bridal party and closest family.

Following Getting Ready, the couple shared a private moment during a First Look that was captured on the brick walkway of the Central Moravian Church courtyard. The backdrop of the historic stone buildings, old oak trees, and snow covered green made a beautiful location for them to see one another for the first time on their wedding day. Once they had shared their First Look, we captured some bride and groom portraits within the courtyard, then walked back to the Historic Hotel Bethlehem where we met their amazing bridal party.

They has such a GREAT group of friends and family supporting them on their special day. Just before the ceremony, we captured group portraits of the bridal party just outside of the marquis awning at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem. It was pretty chilly outside, so we worked as efficiently as possible to get our bridal party portraits completed! (Fun fact: I had to stand in the MIDDLE of Main Street to grab all of these portraits! )

Following portrait time, we took the short walk across the street from the Historic Hotel Bethlehem to the church. The ceremony was a beautiful service at the Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem. The ceremony took place in the evening inside the candlelit sanctuary of The Old Chapel of Central Moravian Church. Jonna and Dom had a beautiful and spiritual ceremony in front of over 175 guests. When reflecting on their wedding day, they noted how their ceremony was the most important and memorable part of their day. They said the ceremony was:

“So God-filled, peaceful, and happy!”

After the ceremony, we captured family portraits within the church, while their guests headed back to the Historic Hotel Bethlehem for cocktail hour.

The reception was within the Grand Ballroom at the venue. They chose the Historic Hotel Bethlehem because they loved the history and local aspect of the venue. It was a traditional wedding, with a navy, aubergine, and gold color palate. Jonna and Dom punctuated the reception decor with Moravian Star accents, candlelit centerpieces and gorgeous cream, aubergine, and blush florals.

The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is:

“Prioritize your budget! Remember, the day is made by having your loved ones near, not the little tangible objects.”

I had such an incredible time serving Jonna and Dom on their wedding day. I am so thankful to have been there to witness and document the story of their amazing day.
