Sara and Joe have a super special spot in my heart.  For one, Joe (eternally known as “Joey” in our house) has been a friend of my husband’s since childhood.  And Sara, well, I knew I loved her the first time she signed an e-mail to me with a “K, love you, bye!”

I first worked with the two of them a few months ago during their rainy day engagement session and it was obvious from the start of that session that they were going to be a blast to work with on their wedding day.

Prior to any wedding I am photographing, I endlessly stalk the weather.  As the days went on and we got closer and closer to Joe(y) and Sara’s wedding day, it became increasingly obvious that the rainy theme of their engagement session was going to translate to their wedding day, too.  After many phone calls and Plan B’s (and even Plan C’s) we decided to alter our timeline a bit and have our “First Look” at the Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.   The folks over at the Dimmick Memorial Library have my eternal thanks for allowing us to use their second story loft so we could hide from the rain.

Thankfully, the weather cooperated for a short time, allowing Sara and Joe to say their “I do’s” on the outdoor patio at Penn’s Peak.  The rain caused a beautiful fog to roll up the mountainside, making for a breathtaking scene as they committed themselves to one another.

Their day was absolutely incredible and so full of love and celebration.  I am so thankful to have been there to capture each moment and detail for them.

Best wishes to many, many years of blessings and happiness to you both, Sara and Joe.

“K, love you (both), bye.”
